Hello!

I'm Jayanna Levesque, founder of Designs by Jayanna. I began my design journey around the end of 2020, when I was offered the opportunity to get creative and take part in gutting and flipping a boot room, as well as transforming a garage into an additional media room. With great success on both projects, I realized I enjoyed every part of the process and became extremely interested in pursuing it further!

I continued on to become certified as a home stager, after which I was offered my first commercial space opportunity, designing & decorating a café on Whyte Avenue.

From there, I was fortunate enough to meet and and work with a variety of clients with varying needs, from hospitality redecorating to show home staging and new build finishing packages.
With those amazing opportunities, I decided to make design my main focus despite having just completed a bilingual teaching degree. I enrolled in the interior design diploma program at the Interior Design Institute and continue to work with clients from builders & developers to house flippers & families looking to renovate single spaces.
Now here we are!

SHOWHOME STAGING
Staging a show home will add both comfort & liveability to a space. When a potential homebuyer walks through a show home they should be able to picture themselves in the space, while maintaining the ability to observe the craftsmanship of the home itself; meaning that the staging should accentuate the design rather than distract from it.
COLOUR CONSULTING
Colour is a key element of design, especially when covering a larger scale area like a wall. With an infinity of options, it can be overwhelming to select the proper hue for a space. With our colour consulting services, we take your style interest, your intentions for the purpose of the space & the space itself in mind when making specific selections. The consultation comes with complimentary visuals - as seen above, to enable the visualization of what the colour will look like alongside flooring and pre-existing or recommended decor
NEW BUILD DESIGN PACKAGES
When working with builders on new homes, I meet with their preferred vendors and carefully curate a list of the necessary selections, from plumbing to flooring and put it together in a visual representation with all necessary information for ordering. This brings ease to their work and allows to see in advance what the final product could look like with all suggestions applied.
COMMERCIAL DESIGN & REDECORATING
Interior design is a tool used to emphasize a sentiment and create an atmosphere. Many businesses are beginning to realize that a key component of gaining and keeping customers is by offering a unique, innovative space that creates a feeling someone will want to feel again. I thoroughly enjoy working in commercial spaces and have seen first hand the difference it makes, fiscally, when the space is carefully thought out and well executed.

For so many of us, our homes are an extension of our lives and who we are. For that reason, it can be overwhelming making changes to a home.
